What is Rygar?
A classic action-adventure game for the NES, Rygar was created by Namco and launched in 1985. It is a side-scrolling beat 'em up with a twist in which Rygar, the protagonist, uses a giant sword to create whirlwinds, a process by which paths are cleared or enemies are defeated. It is famous for its difficult fighting, engrossing plot, and memorable boss battles. Set in the mythical land of Medusa, Rygar must free his homeland from the evil Medusa Warriors.
How to Play
You run Rygar as he accessed various levels filled with enemies, traps, and bosses. The core of gameplay has several key instances:

- Create a Whirlwind: Press B to create a whirlwind that pushes away enemies and clears obstacles.
- Jumping: Use the control stick to jump over gaps and reach platforms.
- Collect Items: Collect power-ups and health items for your journey.
Tips & Tricks
- Time the creation of whirlwinds carefully. Use them to clear large groups of enemies or to reach otherwise inaccessible high places.
- Learn the attack patterns of bosses. Every boss follows a different one.
