What Is Amidar?

Amidar is a classic arcade game worthy of a legend, one that has been challenging and addictive since 1979. A vertical shoot 'em up of relentless pace and unpredictable gameplay, it is one of the most identifiable classics in the annals of arcade-history. You control Amidar, a tiny spaceship, through numerous levels filled with enemies, obstacles, and power-ups. The whole idea is to clear the level by killing every last one of them and scoop up as many power-ups as possible. How to Play

It's what you do in Amidar. The harder it gets, the more reflexes and strategic thought you'll need. The controls are pretty easy, with the joystick or directional pad doing the job of moving Amidar about- left, right, up, and down. Use the fire button to shoot enemies and obstacles.
