What is Chasing Jerry?

Chasing Jerry is a riotous and fast-action board-based game where you act as Tom or Butch, out to ensure they have the clever and quick Jerry under their heel. It is a game of strategic placement and fast tapping, giving players of all ages a fun and competitive time. Expect a series of challenges, traps, and tap battles as you run to be crowned the first to touch down on the final tile!

How to Play

The objective of the game

Pretty simple: be the first one to get on the last tile. On your way there, however, stands an array of stumbling blocks and contests that can delay you, set you back, or even render you back to the start line.

Controls

Single player: Tap with Space Bar
Two players: Player 1 taps with the "A" key while Player 2 uses the "L" key

Starting the Game

The start of the game is decided by a hand-to-hand combat contest to see who will begin first. Players must tap on their respective keys as fast as possible to push a bar into their favor. Winning the tap-off determines who starts the game.

Movement Mechanism

After the initial confrontation, the winner spins a wheel to set the number of tiles he moves forwards. The wheel will stop at a random number, so may the highest score be your blessing!

Mini-Game Tiles

Landing on a Mini-Game Tile engages the tap-off. If you win, you move two tiles forward. Otherwise, losing makes you move backward, so keep training that tapping skill!

Contests

When you land on the same tile as your opponent, a contest is started. The fastest tapper wins and stays put, while the other one moves back. The contests may well be the difference between winning or losing!

Obstacle Tiles

These red tiles are certainly not your friend! Should you ever find yourself on them, one tile backward you shall go, regardless of how well you performed in the tap-offs... Good thing you have to try hard avoiding those!

Tips and Tricks

Train Your Tapping: To win, you will need convincing tapping for the tap-offs and contests.
Choose high numbers: You want the highest number you can get on the spin to move on.
Red tiles are bad: Look out for red tiles while shunning as much as possible.
