What is Deep Snake?

Deep Snake is an exciting and challenging take on the classic snake game, created by dietzribi as a submission for GMTK 2024. In this twist of the classic, you move along a warping tunnel with various obstacles, trying to pick up 30 apples. One thing that really tests your pianist abilities is the rhythm set in avoiding bumps with walls, obstacles, and most importantly, a collision with that growing tail of yours. Will you have enough rhythm and strategy to hit the mark?

How to Play

Just use the arrow keys or WASD, whichever you prefer. You have to collect apples to grow longer and avoid anything dangerous. The tunnel keeps warping randomly, so keep alert at all times and try to anticipate. With every apple collected, an extra challenge is thrown at you, making this more and more about nerve and skill.

Tips & Tricks

Stay Calm: Panicking just leads to unnecessary mistakes. Think it through and concentrate on the upcoming path.
Predict the Warps: Always try to foresee the next tunnel warp.
Mind Your Tail: The longer you grow, the trickier it is to avoid collisions. Monitor your tail length and adjust accordingly.
Collect Apples Strategically: Prioritize apples easier to reach while building your score in order to avoid unnecessary hazards.
