What Is Detana!! Twin Bee (Japan ver. J)?

Detana!! Twin Bee has been an arcade shooter with an adrenaline rush, a frantic shuffle through a crazy, pixelated universe. Dating back to the late 1980s, this beautiful piece by Namco is considered a legendary name in the run-and-gun genre, for great challenge, catchy music, and unusual characters. Twin Bee, a sleek, two-person spacecraft, flies into shorelines of enemy hordes, powers up, and saves worlds from dastardly men of the Dark Planet. The Japan version especially gives that undiluted arcade bliss, as true to the original as one can wish for.

How to Play

It has simple, intuitive controls: move the Twin Bee in any direction using arrow keys and press the spacebar to shoot your weapons. The game unfolds in stages, from each one coming unique sets of challenges and thronging enemies. Help your Twin Bee survive for as long as possible, collect as many points as possible, and somehow unlock the secret stages! The tiers get harder, and you'll just have to sharpen your eyelids and cunning tactics.

Tips & Tricks

Master Your Controls: Get good at moving while firing. Trust me: it's hard for enemies to hit you, and keeping your offense on is an added bonus.
Timing with Power-Ups: Engage and pick these: extra life, invincibility, and weapon upgrades, but only when strategically viable.
Know the Patterns: Every foe follows a pattern. Knowing these helps you counter and dodge their attacks.
Save Lives: Always use continues if you lose all lives, but try to avoid it to keep your score intact.
