Rules of the Game

In Sengoku Ace, you will be managing your clan: recruitment and training of troops are your daily tasks, with the added activity of battling some rival warlords. The mixture here is that you have a turn-based strategy element for managing your base and building alliances, whereas at the detriment of all of this, real-time battles unfold when you command your forces onto the battlefield. You use associated terrain tactics to really exploit those advantages that suite your modus operandi. Whether deliberating on moves to take or pretty much leading the charge of your troops, strategic thinking has now taken center stage.

Tips & Tricks

Resource Management: Watch your resources; Gold and food are very important for expansion and maintaining troops.
Forming Alliances: Alliances may be able to support you but beware of betrayals.
Unit Balance: Have a diversified army; Infantry, Cavalry, and Archers.
Terrain Advantage: Look for terrain advantages: mountains and forests provided cover; open grounds are good for the Cavalry.

History

Sengoku Ace is inspired by the Sengoku period (Warring States period) in Japanese history, a time of civil strife from the late 15th to the early 17th century. During this era, powerful daimyo (warlords) fought for control of Japan, negotiating treaties, forging alliances, and waging wars. What transpired was a chaotic but fertile period for Sengoku Ace to take shape-allowing players to live through the historical events and characters in a dynamic and interactive environment.
