What is Ocho Card Game?

The Ocho Card Game offers colors and life to the simple world of card games. It utilizes a mixture of strategy and luck and has simple rules with enough variations to keep players engaged. Whether you're playing with friends or family, Ocho will provide hours of enjoyment and some healthy rivalry.

Objective

Keep it simple: be the first player to put away all your cards. Here's what you have to do:

Dealing: The dealer deals 7 cards to every player. The rest of the cards are faced down in the center of the table as the Draw Pile. The top card from the Draw Pile is turned face up to start the Play Pile.
Playing: Starting from the person sitting to the left of the dealer, everybody gets a turn to act. On your turn, you must place a card bearing the same suit or rank as the top card of the Play Pile from your hand.
Drawing: If you cannot play any card, you need to draw from the Draw Pile. If the Draw Pile is empty, shuffle it with the cards of the Play Pile, save for the top card, which gets face up to continue as Play Pile.
Winning: Whoever can play a card on his/her turn leaving himself/herself with no cards in hand becomes the winner.

Tips & Tricks

Save Your Aces: Aces are a little special, for playing them reverse the direction of play. Use them with a strategy to your advantage.
Save Your Wild Cards for a Great Disruption: Wilds and Wild Draw Fours are the cards that you want to deploy when you can really disrupt the flow of the game - especially if you are close to emptying your hand.
Watch the Play Pile: Always be aware of what the top card is in the Play Pile so you can navigate your moves.
Avoid Drawing Too Much: Sometimes it's better to draw cards than hold on to ones you cannot play.
