What is Pac-Xon?

Pac-Xon is a great new interpretation of the classic arcade game Pac-Man in which Walter the Minion takes center stage as the protagonist. The player controls Alonso in an unusual Chomp-style setting where he has been abducted by aliens and must try to claim as much territory as possible on a dynamic board. Featuring strategic play and fast-paced action, it merges an original Pac-Man gameplay with new dynamics that will appeal to arcade and puzzle gamers alike.

How to Play

The basic goal in Pac-Xon is to "bite off" pieces of the board and claim them as safe territory. You control Stuart, who is safe as long as he stays within his own zone. But if he gets out of his zone while drawing new lines, he may succumb to the ghosts wandering around the board. Make your way to create the safest possible path for expanding your territory while dodging the ghosts and owning more of the board.

Stay in your territory: Always keep Stuart's position on the board in mind! If he strays too far beyond his safe area, the game is over in no time.
Plan ahead: See the way ahead and plan your route as you are claiming land so you can avoid being ambushed by ghosts.
Use the environment: Certain board tiles might give you temporary safety or special powers. Take advantage of these.
Be alert: Sometimes ghosts may seem erratic, so watch for their movements and react accordingly!

History

While the exact origin of Pac-Xon is relatively undocumented, the game essentially draws its inspiration from that of the classic arcade game Pac-Man, dating back to the year 1980. Chomp's gameplay mechanic, in which players must avoid being completely consumed while trying to eat pieces, offers the Pac-Man formula with a fresh twist. Pac-Xon tries to preserve the heart of the original game while presenting a fresh approach to incredibly interesting gameplay.
